Payments and cancellations

All private tutoring sessions are to be paid in advance, unless otherwise agreed upon. The student may reschedule their tutoring session if needed, preferably at least 24 hours before the scheduled time.

If the student does not show up or cancels the tutoring session later than 12 hours before the scheduled time, then the session has to be paid for in full, regardless of whether the payment for that session has already been made or not. Exceptions to this rule are emergencies, which are dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

If there are unpaid sessions, Algebretto has the right to refuse to tutor the student until those have been paid.

General

 Algebretto has the right to refuse tutoring in situations where it seems that the student wants the tutor to do their homework for them.

Liability

Algebretto offers absolutely no guarantees or promises that the student will pass their math class. If the student receives negative consequences for getting help when they shouldn’t have, Algebretto is not responsible.

Refunds

There are no refunds for tutoring sessions that have already taken place. In general, there are no refunds for prepaid sessions either, but I realize that sometimes life happens. If you feel like you need a refund, please contact me at erika@algebretto.com and we’ll figure it out.
